A SaaS video should not be a screen recording with a voice-over.

It should be a stunning, cinematic film that shows a buyer what your software changes in their day.

SaaS video production is making the films a software company uses to launch, sell and explain its product. Your buyer has a dozen tabs open, most of them showing the same floating dashboard. We love making the film that feels nothing like those tabs.

From one project, your launch film can lead the announcement while shorter pieces go to your homepage, your Meta and LinkedIn ads and your sales team's follow-up emails.

A brand film and a product demo do different jobs, and most software teams need both.

Brand film

Who you are and the problem you solve. It lives on your homepage and in your decks, and it stays true through many releases.

Product demo

Your software at work, step by step, for buyers ready to see how it fits their day. It's the piece you refresh when the interface changes.

A launch film, plus every finished piece your rollout needs around it.

The launch film

The stunning, cinematic centerpiece of your announcement, for the keynote screen and your homepage.

The product demo

A clear walkthrough of what's new, for your product pages and sales calls.

The explainer

What your product does, in premium motion design, for people meeting you for the first time.

The customer story

A customer explains the impact your software has had on their work, in their own words.

Ads and social

Shorter pieces for paid social and launch-day posts, each one listed in your written plan before production begins.

Here's how your project runs, from the first storyboard to the final frame.

01Pre-production

We start with your launch: what's shipping, who we want to reach and the day it goes live. Our creative team writes the script and draws the storyboard, and you know exactly what your final product will look like before production begins.

02Production

Once you approve the plan, we film your founders and customers, or build the film in design and motion. Our full remote filming capability keeps interviews at the highest cinematic level, wherever your people are.

03Post-production

Our editors and motion artists shape the footage and your product screens into a stunning, cinematic finished film. Edit, color, sound and multi-format delivery are all part of full post-production, so your launch film and your shorter pieces arrive finished.

04Delivery

Your launch film arrives first, then every other finished piece on the day your written plan sets for it. If the main film is late, 20% comes off your final invoice.

One team carries your film, your demo and every launch-day clip, from the first big idea to the final delivery.

Your project gets a creative director, writers, professional cinematographers, visual artists, motion artists, sound engineers and voice-over specialists, all working from the same plan. We give you updates and check-ins so you can focus on what you do best.

Projects start at$15K

You get one flat price, set in your written plan, and four things vary it: the length of the film, the design and motion work, a live shoot, and how many finished pieces your rollout needs. We come back with a full plan and a transparent price, so you see the whole number before anyone picks up a camera.

Questions answered

Plan your launch

We recommend the brand film first if buyers don't know you yet, and the demo first if they do.

We recommend the brand film first when buyers don't yet know who you are, because it gives every later piece something to stand on. If they already know your name and want to see the product, start with the demo. Our guide to brand films vs product demos walks through the choice.

Build the brand film around your customer, and keep the interface in the demos.

We recommend building your brand film around your customer and the problem you solve, rather than this quarter's screens, so it stays true after the next release. Walkthroughs that show the interface can be planned as their own finished pieces, so a new release means a new demo, not a new main film.

Flagship Launch Package from $40K. Executive Film Package from $15K.

A launch film made as a Flagship Launch Package starts at $40K, and a single film such as a product demo, an explainer or a customer story starts at $15K with the Executive Film Package. A live crew is an add-on, quoted in your plan.

If the main film is late, 20% comes off your final invoice.

Your film arrives on the date in your contract, or 20% comes off your final invoice. That promise covers the main film's delivery date, and every other finished piece still gets its own date in your plan. See the Terms of the on-time guarantee.

A clear job for the film, who should watch it and your date.

A clear job for the film, who should watch it and your date. We recommend starting 4 to 6 weeks ahead of your launch for a Flagship Launch Package, and at least 3 weeks before your date for an Executive Film Package.

Not always. Demos and explainers can be built entirely in design and motion.

Not always. Product demos and explainers can be built entirely in design and motion, using your interface and your brand. When you want your founders or customers on camera, we add a live camera and sound crew to your plan.
